RoHS - Directive 2002/95/EC |
The RoHS - Directive of the EU (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances) allows only a limitd use of six substance:
the four metals Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Lead (Pb) and Hexavalent Chromium (Cr-Vi) and the same with two groups of Halogenated, organic flame retardants: PBB's (Polybromated Biphenyle) and PBDE's (Polybromated Diphenyl Ethers) and must not exceed the permissible maximum PPM level as detailed in the above regulation.
These guidelines will apply to electro and electronic devices and components inside the EU from July 1st 2006.
We are fully committed to the aims and requirements of the RoHS - directive and can confirm that since October 2005 our suppliers have been manufacturing in accordance to the above regulation.
